Everyone has sinned. “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way.” (Isaiah 53:6) “Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned.” (Romans 5:12) “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

The wages (penalty) of sin is death. “The soul who sins shall die.” (Ezekiel 18:4) “For the wages of sin is death.” (Romans 6:23) “It is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgement.” (Hebrews 9:27)

Christ paid sin’s penalty, once and for all. And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.” (Isaiah 53:6) “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Your salvation is by grace through faith in Him. “And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.” (Genesis 15:6) “But the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23) “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not by yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

You can be assured of salvation. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life and shall not come into judgement, but has passed from death into life.”(John 5:24) “These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal
life.” (1 John 5:13)
